AdeSola Winley     ()

Mr. AdeSola (Sola) Winley represents the Ehrankranz School of Social Work. He will receive his MSW in May 2004. His area of interest for the NYU Graduate Forum is studying systemic marginalization and its impact on the child welfare system and communities of color. Specifically, Mr. Winley seeks to research and review racism's influence on child welfare and from a macro perspective.

Mr. Winley serves as Director of The Institute for Leadership and Change (ILC), an organization committed to strengthening the diversity of leadership within child welfare and human services. In addition to his responsibilities with ILC, Mr. Winley counsels teenagers and families in crisis for St. Christopher's Inc., one of New York's oldest child welfare and social service agency, established in 1881. Mr. Winley is also the founder and CEO of ProVision Consulting Inc., a firm dedicated to assisting minority owned businesses and professionals to succeed.

Mr. Winley is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and holds an MA in Marketing from Adelphi University and an MBA from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

He is a member (on leave) of the Organizational Consulting program at the acclaimed William Alanson White Institute of Psychology, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy located in NYC, the National Black MBA Association and the National Association of Social Workers.

Prior to turning his attention to social advancement, Mr. Winley spent 10 years in the for profit sector, including seven years with the National Football League (NFL) in a variety of capacities for the League's domestic and international business divisions. The Winley family has a rich history in community and social work including ministries in both Harlem and Brooklyn.
