Welcome to New York University
in Shanghai

On behalf of the NYU in Shanghai Faculty and Staff, we would like to welcome you to Shanghai: China's largest and most diverse city.

You have made an important decision to live and study abroad as a way of learning about another part of the world and another way of life. We have planned an educational experience for you in Shanghai, both inside and outside of the classroom, that we believe you will find both challenging and enriching. Over the course of the semester, you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of programs, excursions, trips and events, both inside and outside of the classroom.

The curriculum takes advantage of our location in Shanghai, with high overall value and professors hired locally and from NYU itself. We encourage you to take advantage of the multiple and varied educational, cultural, social and personal opportunities that arise through NYU in Shanghai, and look forward to working with to both improve the program, and learn and grow together.
