The Freshman programme provides an academically rigorous first year of study. Classes are small enough for you to benefit from a more personalised level of attention than you might otherwise receive. The programme is tightly structured to ensure you make the most of your time in London.
Throughout the semester, NYU in London plans day and weekend trips that introduce students to British culture by visiting many of the landmarks and monuments of London and beyond. Many of these trips are organised in conjunction with Freshman faculty and supplement classroom teaching. Students are also able to take advantage of a range of locally based activities organised by residential staff in housing.
NYU in London students also receive Associate Membership to the University of London Student Union, or ULU, giving access to the extensive range of facilities and services offered by the University of London Student Union, or ULU. This is a great way to meet local students and experience the life in a European university. All freshman students must participate in a community activity so if you have a particular interest, whether a sport or hobby, you’ll be pleased to know that you can continue it in London.
