New York University has many years experience of welcoming freshman students to its study abroad sites and London is a great place to start your University life. With the city itself as a back drop to your classes, London will provide a rich cultural and educational resource as well as a fun place to spend your first semester. You will join approximately 100 other freshman students on a bespoke programme.
You will be housed in high standard, purpose built, self-catering, student accommodation, along with the rest of the NYU in London student community as well as other members of the London student community. All rooms are shared between two people and include broadband internet access, bathroom and either in-room kitchenette or communal kitchen shared with others on each floor. TV and telephone points are also included in the room and can be activated for an additional fee. The housing includes wireless internet in communal areas, gym, medical centre, movie screening room, cafeteria, TV rooms and study areas. Dedicated residential and security staff are present 24 hours a day.
The academic programme provides a wide range of courses taught by experienced professors, predominantly from the University of London, in class sizes of 15-25. The teaching staff are available outside of class time for additional academic support.
A full programme of co- and extra-curricular activities of trips and events are provided by the dedicated Freshman student life staff from the first few days of orientation and on throughout the semester to help you explore the best of London and the UK.
Students are encouraged to participate in community service and sports as the best way of integrating with the local community.
