Senate House Library

The University of London Library is housed in Senate House (often called Senate House Library) and is the most extensive university library in London. It is only a few hundred yards from the Bedford Square site.

All NYUL students have readers’ tickets for the duration of their stay, which gives them access to its research holdings as well as to a special NYUL course collection that contains all NYUL required and recommended reading. Information about the University of London Library can be found at: www.ull.ac.uk. ULL provides web based research resources for the NYUL student; more about this facility can be found at: www.ulrls.lon.ac.uk/news/webaccess.asp.

While in London, NYUL students retain an internet link to Bobst Library back in Washington Square, through which they can also access online journals and other resources.

NYUL is committed to making available to its students the resources necessary for a successful academic experience in London. NYUL students in specific courses are joined to other local libraries as appropriate. For example, students in architecture courses become members of the Architectural Association Library; students in film can use the library of the British Film Institute; students taking East European Politics join the library of the School of East European and Slavonic Studies.
