The International Visitors Program provides grants to departments and schools to invite distinguished scholars from abroad.
Visitors should spend at least two weeks in residence on campus, and contribute to the intellectual life of the University through teaching, participation in meetings, conferences, seminars, and/or collaboration with faculty on research projects. Ideally, the visitor will be of interest to both students and faculty.
Grants from the International Visitors Program are to be used to cover the travel and living expenses of the scholar while on campus. The maximum grant is $5,000.
The Office of the Provost will accept nominations for the International Visitors Program until May 1, 2005 for next academic year. A cross-school selection committee of faculty will review the nominations, and awards will be announced in mid-May.
