NYU Liberal Studies Freshmen Programs
As an NYU Liberal Studies freshman abroad, you will have the unique opportunity of completing your first-year degree requirements at one of NYU's exciting centers in Florence, London, Paris, or Shanghai. Participants take pre-approved courses that allow for them to stay on track with their degree requirements and graduate on time. Programs are uniquely designed for Liberal Students Freshmen students and run for an academic year.
First Year Student Locations
The Liberal Studies and Global Liberal Studies Freshman in Florence begin their NYU career in the capital city of the Renaissance. The program is located at La Pietra, NYU's stunning 57-acre estate, where you'll follow the same rigorous Liberal Studies curriculum as NYU's Washington Square Campus.
Through the Liberal Studies or Global Liberal Studies Freshman in London Program students spend their first year at NYU in one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities. At the NYU academic center in London you’ll enroll in Liberal Studies courses that follow the same rigorous standards as the Liberal Studies curriculum in NYU's Washington Square Campus.
The Liberal Studies and Global Liberal Studies Freshman in Paris Program allows students to begin their NYU experience while living in the city of light. There, you'll find courses that meet the same academic standards as the Liberal Studies program in New York City as you benefit from an amazing international experience.
The Liberal Studies and Global Liberal Studies Freshmen in Shanghai Program offers students the unparalleled opportunity to spend their first year at NYU living and learning in China's most dynamic city. Students enroll in Liberal Studies courses that prepare them for a successful college career in New York City, while exploring all that Shanghai has to offer.
