All NYU Berlin students will live in the program’s brand new housing facility in Berlin’s hip district of Kreuzberg. NYU Berlin’s student housing is in a newly renovated building, originally designed in 1984 by New York architect John Hejduk. The immediate vicinity offers some of Berlin’s most famous historic sites, including Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terror Museum and the Jewish Museum, designed by world-famous architect Daniel Libeskind.
In the new housing, NYU Berlin students will share double rooms, find spacious common areas and a film screening studio. Outdoors, there is a well-manicured green space, which invites students to study and relax.
Student housing is located just a short walk from two major subway lines, making the commute to classes at the academic center about 35-40 minutes by public transport. The main Humboldt University library is a 10-minute bikeride away.
Students may prepare meals at home, dine out at one of the many affordable cafés and restaurants for which Berlin is known, or eat at the Humboldt University cafeteria.
