Student Life

Your German Home

All students are required to live in NYU-arranged housing. Each NYU Berlin student will live in shared housing, located in a recently renovated building in the hip district of Kreuzberg.

The housing is a short walk to a few major subway lines making the commute to classes at the academic center about 35-40 minutes by public transport.

Students may prepare meals at home, dine out at the many affordable cafes and restaurants for which Berlin is known, or eat at the the Humboldt University cafeteria. All apartments are fully furnished and equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and living area.  Linens and internet service are also provided. Your Resident Assistant, a local Berliner, will also live in the apartment complex to help you with the transition to life in Germany and address any questions that might arise.
