With locations on six continents, NYU offers undergraduates across the US unparalleled international opportunities. NYU’s global network comprises degree-granting campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi, and soon Shanghai; academic centers in 11 world-class cities; and exchange programs with 16 partner institutions. Last year, more than 4,000 students—from NYU and from other institutions—enrolled in the global network and experience an individualized academic journey led by distinguished scholars, artists, and professionals.
Add depth to your degree. Diverse course offerings make it possible for students of all majors to study away, and esteemed faculty and staff enable students to make the best use of the academic, professional, and cultural resources available.
Be in and of the city. Field trips and excursions, community service and internships are all essential components of the global experience. Direct involvement with a local community results in tangible differences in how students think simply because of the context of where they are.
Join an outstanding community of world citizens. Over 40 percent of NYU students study away. According to the latest Open Doors data, most US students who study abroad spend an average of eight weeks away, whereas NYU students spend at least 16 weeks.
Have a supported and safe experience. NYU’s student services team offers support every step of the way, including guaranteed housing and assistance with securing travel documents. NYU staff at the host cities work with the Student Health Center and the Department of Public Safety in New York to provide health and safety resources.
Access scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Students are eligible for funding offered by NYU and outside organizations. Last semester, students received nearly $400,000 in funding through various scholarships and grants. To learn more, visit www.nyu.edu/studyaway/financial-aid.
