The newest academic center in NYU’s global network, NYU Washington, DC located in the US capital is just blocks from the White House, the World Bank, the Smithsonian, and is adjacent to the cultural attractions on DC’s 14th Street corridor. The 12-story Constance Milstein and Family Academic Center features classrooms, residences, a computer lab, meeting spaces, and offices as well as a 135-seat auditorium and an expansive lobby that is used as student lounge and a venue for public events.
Co-curricular events and activities are a hallmark of NYU's program. Informal, off-the record brown-bag lunches and briefings are organized regularly with members of Congress and the staffs of government offices, NGOs, embassies, consulates, and cultural institutions. In addition, NYU Washington, DC invites a steady stream of distinguished experts (including NYU faculty) to visit. This enriches our academic program and also increase the visibility of the University in the nation's capital.
