Living in Washington, DC

NYU Washington, DC, the newest academic center in NYU’s global network, is located in the heart of the U.S. capital and is only a 10 minute walk to the White House and 20 minute walk to the Smithsonian Museums.  NYU Washington, DC is also adjacent to the cultural attractions on DC’s 14th Street corridor and within a 10 minute walk of every metro line, which makes it very easy to explore the entire disrict!

The 12-story Constance Milstein and Family Academic Center features classrooms, residence halls, student lounges, a computer lab, meeting spaces, and offices as well as a 135-seat auditorium and an expansive lobby that is used for student programs and for public events.

Co-curricular Events and Activities

Co-curricular events and activities are a hallmark of NYU's program. Informal, off-the record brown-bag lunches and briefings are organized regularly with members of Congress and the staffs of government offices, NGOs, embassies, consulates, and cultural institutions. In addition, NYU Washington, DC invites a steady stream of distinguished experts (including NYU faculty) to visit. This enriches our academic program and also increase the visibility of the University in the nation's capital.
