It is a condition of the program that all students live in NYU-arranged housing

Off-Campus Apartments

For the 2014-15 school, before the new NYU Shanghai residence hall is completed, study away students will live in apartments in a residential building in the area of Shanghai known as Pudong -- very close to the campus. Apartments are beautifully decorated and furnished with a TV, couch, full beds, and kitchens. Wireless internet access is also available.

The Pudong area is conveniently located with many restaurants, shops, and vendors nearby. An entrance to the expansive Shanghai subway  is a short walk

Housing Fees and Payment

Housing, tuition, & fees will be billed directly to your NYU Bursar account. All NYU Shanghai students will be billed an estimated housing charge, which has no bearing on your final assignment. Once known, actual housing charges will be placed on student accounts and estimated charges will be reversed. Students will receive their housing assignment through their housing portal or NYU email account shortly before arrival. We will not send this information to another email address or release it over the phone.
