If you prefer residence hall living, you may live in one of two NYU Prague residences, both of which are recently renovated and located in the residential neighborhood of Vinohrady (named for the fact that it was covered in vineyards dating back to the 14th century), a neighborhood well known for its bohemian cafés, acclaimed restaurants, and beautiful art nouveau buildings.


Machova Residence Hall

This residence hall is located about a 15-minute ride on the Tram/Metro or a 25-minute walk from the NYU Academic Center. Machova can accommodate up to 60 students and is a five minute walk from Slezska residence hall.

  • Rooms grouped together in suites
  • Accommodates 4-7 students per suite (2-4 rooms per suite)
  • Single, double, triple rooms (1, 2 or 3 people to a bedroom)
  • One quad room available (4 people to a bedroom) 
  • One single-sex full bathroom shared amongst suitemates
  • One additional water closet (toilet only)

  • Common kitchen per suite (4-7 students per kitchen)
  • Kitchens equipped with refrigerator, stovetop, oven, sink and dishwasher
  • Mini fridge in each room
  • Student lounge
  • Study room equipped with 4 computers

Prague Residence Hall

Slezska

A fin-de-siecle neo-gothic building located on a lovely park in Vinohrady neighborhood, is about a 15-minute ride on the Tram/Metro or a 25-minute walk from the NYU Academic Center. Slezska can accommodate 35 students and is a five minute walk from Machova residence hall.

  • Can accommodate up to 35 students
  • Rooms grouped together in suites
  • Single, double, triple or quad rooms (1, 2, 3 or 4 people to a bedroom)
  • Depending on suite, either one or two single-sex bathrooms shared
  • Availability of single-occupancy rooms is limited

  • Common kitchens located on ground and top floors
  • 3 large fully equipped kitchens shared by all occupants
  • A small fridge in each suite
  • Study lounge
  • Study room equipped with 4 computers

NYU in Prague Residence Hall II

Residence Hall II 

Our newest residence hall, a fin-de-siecle neo-gothic building located on a lovely park, is about a 15-minute ride on the Tram/Metro or a 25-minute walk from the NYU Academic Center. The area is a residential area full of cafés, shopping, and restaurants.
