NYU Paris prides itself on providing in-depth teaching of French language and culture as a means to help students foster new perspectives on the world. Students have the option to live with host families, take courses at the University of Paris or at Sciences Po, and to immerse in the life of this great city.
Extra-curricular cultural activities expose students to facets of France and French life that they may not encounter on their own. Activities include outings to museums, opera and theatre, as well as day trips to places, such as Versailles, Chartres, and Giverny French-language walking tours take students "off the beaten track" in their explorations of Paris; film screenings, conferences by scholars, writers, and politicians on current affairs, encounters with French students, tastings of French culinary fare—all enhance students’ exposure to French language and open new vistas on this extraordinary city.
