Eric Sneddon

Professor Slapper is Global Professor at New York University, and the author of many major law books, and academic articles. He is a legal consultant at 36 Bedford Row, the Chambers of Frances Oldham QC, and a writer on Law for The London Times. He is also a columnist for The Times online.

Before becoming director of NYU London, Professor Slapper was Dean of the Law School at the Open University, and taught a course on Law and Society at NYU London. He is Visiting Professor of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He read Law as an undergraduate and postgraduate at University College London, and gained his doctorate from the London School of Economics.

Eric Sneddon

Eric has overall responsibility for all operational, student life, HR, financial, legal and planning issues. He also works with the Director on certain academic matters. Before joining NYUL in 2009 he was the Director of International Operations for Central College Abroad and had also led their programme in London. Eric is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and completed postgraduate education studies at the University of Cambridge.

Amy Rowe

Amy manages all aspects of academic affairs at NYU London. She works closely with both students and faculty providing support and guidance to ensure high academic standards. Amy has a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, a Master’s in Theology from Harvard University, and a BA in Anthropology & Religious Studies from Colby College (USA). She has done research and lived in the USA, Canada, the Middle East, India, and the UK. Prior to joining NYU she held an ESRC postdoctoral fellowship and was a lecturer at the University of Cambridge.In addition she has worked in high schools both in the US and UK designing curricula and teaching history, social studies and geography.

Nigel Freeman

Nigel is responsible for the provision of health, welfare and Orientation activities, and many other services for NYU in London and Tisch in London upperclassmen students, having joined NYU in London in February 2005. He has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds, is working towards a Masters degree in Management, and has looked after the welfare needs of American students in London for over a decade.

Tony Skitt- Senior Programme Manager for Student Life

Tony leads the planning of co-curricular events and excursions, within the Student Life team. He is also the primary contact for Freshman students as NYU London, overseeing programmes of student welfare and pastoral support alongside the planning of Freshman events and trips. Tony has an honours degree in Business Administration, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (qualified teacher status) and many years experience working within international education, having run international programmes in Africa, Asia, Australia, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

Robert Pinkerton

Robert works within the Academic Office, leading the planning of co-curricular events, special programmes and the organisation of on-site talks and lectures. He also has responsibility for managing inbound student immigration and ensuring compliance with UK immigration requirements. Robert has a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Sheffield,  is working towards a Masters in Education (Leadership and Management) and has 15 years experience working in the international higher education field.

Ruth Tucker

Ruth manages the human resources, timetabling, finance and facilities for the university. She has degrees in English from Manchester Metropolitan University and Goldsmiths College, University of London. Before joining NYU in London, Ruth worked at The Bodleian Library in Oxford.

Simon Coleman

Simon helps coordinate the various financial activities going on at NYU in London. Before joining the team in April 2014, he worked in the accounts payable department at Cambian Group. Simon graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2010 with a degree in Accounting and Finance and moved to London in 2011.

Philippa Robinson

Philippa supports the work of both the Finance & Operations and Student Life teams, assisting with the facilities, operations and human resources of the university, as well as student programming, community engagement and welfare. Philippa joined NYU in London in March 2012 and has a degree in English Literature and Politics from the University of Glasgow.

Luke Harper

Luke assists with academic affairs and supervises the student office assistants each semester. He holds a BSc degree in Multimedia and Digital Systems from Sussex University. Before joining NYU in London, Luke worked as the Examinations Coordinator at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

Academic Affairs Administrator Idroma Montgomery

Idroma Montgomery joined the Academics team in August 2014, where she assists with academic events, immigration and general academic administration. She has a degree in Sociology from Arcadia University in Philadelphia and studied abroad at Goldsmiths in London as a junior. This eventually led to an MA in Culture, Globalisation and the City from Goldsmiths in 2008. Idroma has previously worked in publishing and the charity sector. In her spare time she blogs about London, creates illustrations and watches copious amounts of Doctor Who.

Harvey Abraham-Green

Harvey oversees the work of the Student Hub where he endeavours to assist with all student life issues including welfare and cultural programming. From accessing healthcare, to finding the best eats Harvey is on hand to ensure you have a great experience here in London. He has a degree in history from SOAS, where he focused in African and Middle Eastern history. Harvey enjoys cinema, food and sport, and is a keen Tottenham supporter

Leo can be found in the Student Hub, where he can advise on opportunities for volunteering and community engagement, as well as other areas of student life such as programming, welfare and housing. Leo has a master's degree in maths from the University of Sheffield, where on top of his studies he organised hitchhikes around Europe on Easter break, and he is always happy to advise on travel plans.

Fenton is responsible for managing the technical services that NYU in London provide to staff and students. Fenton has a first class degree in Maths and Physics from King's College and has many years experience in IT working for Power Gen, Sainsbury's, Sage and Video Networks.

Bart Maguire - Technical Services Assistant

Bart Maguire assists in providing technical services support at NYUL. He has many years experience in IT, working with Merril Lynch, Deutsche Bank and the University of Bristol. Originally from Ireland he lived for many years in London before moving to Bristol. However the lure of London proved too much and he has recently returned and is glad to be back.

Kate Stein

Kate is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Cambridge University. Kate's career has centred on UK and US education, covering diverse organisations such as the US-UK Education Commission, the UK Embassy in Washington DC and US government agencies. Before joining NYUL in 2011, Kate was Programme Coordinator of the Fordham University London Centre. Kate lives in London and is an excellent source for living in the city and maximizing opportunities in the UK and Europe.

Claire Wilkins

Claire is responsible for overseeing international outreach for undergraduate admission to NYU Shanghai across Europe, the Middle East, and the African continent, and assists with international outreach for the New York and Abu Dhabi campuses. She is the primary contact for international applicants from these regions interested in NYU Shanghai. Claire is a Canadian who studied Journalism, Film and Broadcasting at Cardiff University, and attained a degree in Psychology and Communications from Simon Fraser University in Canada. Claire comes to NYU London from her position as International Admissions Officer for NYU Shanghai in Shanghai. Before joining NYU Shanghai Claire worked in admissions at an international school in Shanghai, and as a Full-time Lecturer at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea. She has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and across Canada

Mikael Perreau

Mikael is the Senior Admissions Officer for NYU Abu Dhabi, with responsibility for Europe. He graduated from UCLA in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and has lived in France, California, and Texas. He now calls NYUL and London home, and is an avid Liverpool supporter.

Chris has responsibilities for both student welfare and facility administration within the NYUL residences. Chris has a degree in Economics from the University of Surrey where he also spent a semester abroad at the University of North Texas. Furthermore, Chris has a Masters degree in International Planning from University College London and has previously lived in Toronto for one year. He is an ardent Tottenham Hotspur fan.

Facilities Coordinator Ricoh Ramraj

Ricoh helps manage the NYU sites In London, he have previous experience in Facility & HSE Management. Ricoh coordinates the Facilities Department and helps ensure the site meets regulatory & compliance standards. Pretty much any issues or requests regarding the building and contractual services can be directed toward him.
He has previous experience in the Facilities background starting off as a cleaner and working his way up through difference avenues in Facilities to get to his current position.

Facilities Engineer Matt Sunley

Matt is the facilities engineer for Byron Court, Guilford House and Bedford Square. Before joining NYU he worked for NHS surrey for over 6 years where he worked in hospitals, health care centres and doctors surgeys. He went to Guilford college and WLTS training centre were he qualified as an electrician with city & guilds 1,2 &3 qualification and also has 17th edition qualification. He has a passion for sport and plays rugby for wandsworthians RFC and also plays golf when he can with a handicap of +2.

Mark Walters

Mark has responsibilities for security, the mail and assists with audio-visual equipment. He is a Londoner born and bred and is a good source of knowledge about London. Mark loves sport, especially football, and is a keen Arsenal supporter.

Stephanie

Stephanie is the New York based site representative for NYU London. During her undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University she participated in a summer program throughout Northern Queensland, Australia. Following this experience, she got the travel bug and then spent a semester abroad at University College Cork, Ireland. She is a recent graduate of NYU's International Education program, and has been with NYU Global Programs since 2012. She is excited to work with students as they prepare to study at NYU London!
