Excursion

Every semester, NYU London organizes several day and weekend trips to nearby cities and towns to introduce you to British culture. Some of these excursions are required components of your course work and are included in the cost of your tuition. Other, optional day trips have additional fees, but are quite affordable.

London Eye is the world’s largest Ferris wheel with 32 glass-enclosed gondolas glide slowly and gracefully. The entire journey takes about 30 minutes.

The Tower of London was originally a royal residence, but is known more for its use as a prison. Its bloody history includes stories of murders. Read a bit about King Henry VIII’s bloody approach to matrimonial happiness before you visit the site!

Participate in helping to clean up the River Thames, and learn a bit about local culture.

Bath is known for its beautiful Roman architecture. It is the setting for many classic novels, as well as films. Besides the pretty comprehensive tour NYUL brings everyone on, which includes the Royal Crescent and the Roman baths, it is worth walking along the shore on a fine day.

Visitors to Stonehenge tend to be either completely overwhelmed, or entirely under-whelmed. Find out how you feel when you see the famous rocks.
