If you have been offered admission to enroll at one of the Global Academic Centers through NYU's Undergraduate Admissions Office you do not have to reapply. Follow the steps to confirm your intention to enroll as instructed in your NYU admissions packet.
Liberal Studies students who wish to enroll in the freshman program at a global site must be eighteen years of age on or before the date of their travel to the site for the purposes of study. If you have been selected for an international site and you will not be 18 by your date of travel, please inform the Admissions office. This policy applies to students who are citizens of any country, including member nations of the European Union. Prospective students with questions about the policy should email Beth Haymaker, Director of Global Programs, Liberal Studies.
About Liberal Studies
Global Liberal Studies (GLS) is an innovative bachelor's degree that features core course work in the liberal arts with a focus on great works in a global context. All GLS students spend their junior year abroad at an NYU site. Graduates of GLS will be world citizens, proficient in at least one foreign language, engaged in international cultures, and well prepared to enter the world of work or for admission to professional and graduate schools.
The Core Program is a two-year foundation program for students who will complete their education in one of the university's other undergraduate schools. It features an interdisciplinary core curriculum that fulfills the liberal arts requirements for bachelor's degrees in NYU's other schools.
