The residential building is close to campus and in the heart of the city. Near the waterfront, with incredible views of Abu Dhabi’s strikingly modern skyline, the NYUAD residential building has facilities for dining, sports, study, recreation, community engagement, performance, art, and hanging out with friends, faculty, and staff. All students are required to live in campus housing.
Student apartments are designed for spacious comfort. The options are a large studio shared by two students or a two-bedroom apartment shared by four students. All apartments have private bathrooms with housekeeping service.
Student accommodations are single gender by floor. Apartments are furnished with individual beds, desks and bureaus for each student. Bed linens are provided.
A fully-staffed Campus Life department is on site to provide guidance, support, programming and residential life activities. The Office of Residential Education is committed to the holistic growth and development of every student. Resident Assistants (RAs), who are upper-class students, live in the student residences and serve as easily accessible peer advisors and resources. RAs also play an important role in planning study breaks, floor meetings, and social, cultural, and educational programs and activities.
The residence features multimedia lounges for study and leisure and laundry facilities. Wireless Internet in the building is accessible in the private and communal areas. The Health and Wellness Center is located in this building as well.
There is also 24-hour security staff as well as a controlled electronic entry system and CCTV.
Dining facilities are available in the residential building as well as at the the Downtown Campus. A meal plan provides 3 meals per day, 7 days each week.
