You will have the opportunity to join NYUAD clubs and student organizations. NYUAD students have already set up clubs focused on film and new media, astronomy, theatre arts, debate, dance, math, dragon boat racing, horseback riding, and poetry and creative writing. The Abu Dha-beats are bringing acapella to campus, while the Electra Street Arts and Humanities Journal publishes the creative work of students, faculty, and staff. You can join Dardashah to explore Arabic language and literature or the chess club to test your skills against an opponent from across the globe.
We encourage all students to participate actively in the offerings of the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute. In 2010-11 alone, the Institute organized over 90 events bringing together renowned scholars and professional experts with a broad range of participants in the Abu Dhabi community to explore important contemporary global issues: http://nyuad.nyu.edu/institute.
