Alumni

Alumni are a vital part of NYU's academic community. Through their support, they have helped to make NYU the world-class institution that it is today.

NYU has over 360,000 living alumni in all 50 states and 180 foreign countries. As graduates of NYU's many schools and programs, our alumni have achieved success and distinction in every area of society--art, healthcare, education, business, public service, medicine, and beyond. Their collective achievements are a source of pride and distinction for their alma mater.

As we embrace NYU's position as a premier global research university, we must also look to the future. We must continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our students, so that we may prepare them to be the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. We must make advancements in all fields and disciplines in order to facilitate new discoveries, advance research and scholarship, and have an impact on our community and the world. It is our alumni who give us the momentum and resources to build upon our success and excel in all that we do.

Contributions from alumni impact our entire academic community. Your support helps us provide financial aid and scholarships for our students, many of whom work one, two, or even three jobs to meet the cost of tuition--but do so because of the educational opportunities that only NYU can offer. Your contribution, grouped with those of your fellow alumni, has an exponential impact on the life of the university, from study abroad programs and important research initiatives to hiring distinguished faculty and building state-of-the-art facilities.

As alumni, you are the cornerstone of NYU. We thank you for staying involved with your alma mater and contributing to our future as a leader in global higher education.
