Satisfactory Academic Progress
To be considered for and to maintain financial aid students must make “satisfactory academic progress” toward completion of degree requirements and be in good academic standing.
This means that you MUST:
- complete 32 points per academic year with grades of A, B, C, D or Pass (courses graded with F, I, or W do NOT count toward academic progress)
- maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0, and not be on probation
- complete all degree requirements in four years unless you are enrolled in an officially recognized five-year program
If you are receiving financial aid and you plan to take fewer than 16 credits in a particular semester, you should consult the Office of Financial Aid (212) 998-4444 to find out if there are any implications for your financial aid award. Also, you should be careful when adding and dropping courses to make sure you will complete 32 credits within one academic year.
