Gallatin has 15 diverse and unique clubs to choose from. The following directory is a listing of all Gallatin Clubs that are currently active. DANCERS CHOREOGRAPHERS ALLIANCE (DCA)

DCA provides student choreographers with the opportunity to create their work with fellow student dancers. Through this, dancers have the chance to be part of the creative process and showcase their abilities. DCA also allows other members of the performance community to participate in roles such as musicians, composers, and artistic managers.

GALLATIN ARTS FESTIVAL (GAF)

The Gallatin Arts Festival is a week long community-wide celebration of the unique artistry and interdisciplinary scholarship of NYU’s Gallatin School. The festival features over 50 students presenting work in the visual and performing arts.

GALLATIN CINEMA SOCIETY

Since its birth in the 1890s, film has worn many hats. The western. The musical. The sci-fi. The epic. The Gallatin Cinema Society welcomes you to the world of motion pictures, a magical place that had bedazzled us for decades. In this organization we will discuss its triumphs and tragedies, its successes and failures. We will also act as a viable outlet for blossoming film/TV students who want to sharpen their skills and promote future collaboration.

GALLATONE

Gallatone is a student-run record label designed to release student music to the NYU student body and beyond. Gallatone thrives on the involvement of musicians, graphic designers, producers, engineers, web designers, photographers, the business minded, and many other students and their diverse interests. Use your talents to give Gallatone two feet to stand on.

GALLATIN PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

The mission of the Gallatin Photography Club is to enrich the Gallatin community with photographic art. It aims to be a resource within which those not enrolled as Photo & Imaging majors can gain darkroom access and exhibition space. Its members seek to create a community in which student photographers of all backgrounds and methods are able to improve their skills and share their work with peers.

GALLATIN STUDENT COUNCIL (GSC)

The Gallatin Student Council (GSC) exists to represent and support the interests and concerns of Gallatin students, both within the Gallatin School and the University at large. GSC works closely with teachers and administrators to ensure a student voice in the workings of the school. GSC also likes to have a lot of fun by bringing the Gallatin community together to create events everywhere and anywhere (like at the annual All-University Games, where we ritually put the other schools to shame).

GALLATIN THEATRE TROUPE (GTT)

The Gallatin Theatre Troupe exists as a collective of students interested in writing, directing, managing, and acting in theatre. Accomplishments include creating a one-act play festival and producing a variety of theatrical productions. Additionally, the GTT serves as a place to discuss theatre and attend shows. GTT is completely student-run and welcomes students to get involved!

STUDENTS OF COLOR & ALLIES (SOCA)

The Students of Color & Allies Alliance serves as a support and networking group that connects students of ALL colors from within Gallatin for social outings, intellectual activities, and academic workshops that address common interests. SOCA now organizes events aimed at enhancing the Gallatin experience for students of color.

THE GALLATIN CONSCIOUSNESS

The purpose of The Gallatin Consciousness is to facilitate the synthesis of interdisciplinary ideas and pursuits on the common ground of the creative process and conscious experience. This club best serves this purpose by providing enjoyable, stimulating programming that integrates a vast array of interests. Students and faculty can meet and discuss much neglected issues and make connections with each other in order to achieve their personal goals. This organization exists to explore the nature of consciousness in all modes of experience.

THE GALLATIN UNDERGRADUATE JOURNAL (GUJ)

The Gallatin Undergraduate Journal publishes interdisciplinary work authored by undergraduate Gallatin students in order to showcase the diversity and richness of undergraduate intellectual pursuits at Gallatin as well as create a space for interdisciplinary dialogue among students and enhance Gallatin's academic climate.

THE GALLATIN REVIEW

Gallatin's answer to the college literary magazine, the Gallatin Review publishes the poetry, prose, essays, and visual art of students and faculty. Its format is very open and is determined by a group of students who collaborate to design the layout and select submissions. Come discuss the work of fellow students, or just submit your own.

THE GALLATIN UNDERGRADUATE JOURNAL OF GLOBAL AFFAIRS

The mission of the Journal of Global Affairs is to create, produce, and publish a scholarly undergraduate journal that showcases articles and artwork pertaining to all aspects of global affairs. JGA provides a forum for undergraduate students at NYU to publish their work in a scholarly journal. Secondly, this journal stimulates general interest in and increased awareness of global affairs that affect the world in which we live.

THE ALTERNATIVE BUSINESS CLUB

The Gallatin Business Club aims to educate the Gallatin community on the topic of business by providing resources, such as seminars, speakers, and group discussion on a variety of business topics. This club is for students interested in the corporate world, whether or not it is a part of their concentration. The club is an outlet for students to discuss current events in business and provides networking opportunities through speakers in a variety of fields.

CAMPUS ICARUS

Campus Icarus is a support network, and underground media project created by and for people struggling with “dangerous gifts” that are commonly labeled as mental illnesses and allies. The Icarus Project at NYU aims to reduce the stigma in society associated with the term “mental illness” and bring these issues to people’s consciousness. We bring together anyone who can relate to this by focusing on inward support as well as outward action. Basically, we are a club for anyone interested in the human experience, and how we all deal with it.

FANTASY ACTION TRANSFORMATION

Fantasy Action Transformation is a club designed to take activism to a new level by incorporating it into a larger organized program using fictional narratives, performance art, and digital technologies. The potential to create interest in an issue is amplified when innovative and engaging techniques are used. When writers, organizers, activists, designers, software programmers, and artists all work together we can create a campaign which no one has even seen the likes of before.

GALLATIN COLORING CLUB

The Gallatin Coloring Club provides a welcome space for those interested in coloring projects of all varieties. We provide the materials and the food so you can create the timeless beauty of refrigerator art and beautify our space with your works! In addition to coloring pages, the coloring club has workshops in silk screening, popsicle building and other crafts.
