Description
Working with the Director of Student Affairs, the Assistant Director of Student Life and staff, the student orientation leader will assist in the overall implementation of Summer and Fall Orientations.
Duties include
- Supporting Gallatin Freshmen advisors
- Leadership Skills
- Group Activities
- Student orientation to Gallatin and NYU
The Orientation Leader must:
Attend one of the pre-hiring group interview sessions below
Be available from Friday, June 19th, 2009 8:00 a.m. through Thursday, June 25th, 6:00 p.m.
The orientation leader will be expected to report for training and work through the full orientation program. Orientation Leaders are expected to sleep in the dorm and participate in all aspects of the training and orientation. Other duties will be assigned, based on the needs of the orientation staff and interests of the individual.
Remuneration
Stipend of $450 for the summer orientation and $50 for fall orientation activities.
Students who are applying to be an orientation leader for the first time must attend one of the following mandatory pre-hiring group interview sessions:
- 11:00am -12:30pm, Wednesday, March 25
- 2:00pm - 3:30pm, Thursday, March 26
- 2:00pm - 3:30pm, Friday, March 27
- 12:00pm - 1:30pm, Wednesday, April 1
- 1:00pm - 2:30pm, Friday, April 3
