Marching at Graduation
Invitations
Invitations to participate in NYU Commencement and Gallatin Graduation are extended to all graduates and degree candidates for degrees for the 2009-2010 academic year (September 2009, January 2010 and May 2010). Candidates for May degrees are identified as those who have applied for graduation by accessing Albert by January 29, 2010.
Students will receive the NYU Commencement invitation during the first week of April. The invitation to the Gallatin Graduation will arrive soon thereafter.
Note: Be certain to update your address on Albert. If you have not received the Commencement invitation by the second week in April, you should verify your address with the Office of the University Registrar at 25 West 4th Street. If your invitation was sent to an incorrect address, you may request a replacement. Otherwise, you may be directed to contact the Department of Degree Audit at (212) 998-4260.
Petitions
September 2010 candidates may request to participate in the NYU Commencement and Gallatin Graduation ceremonies in May, if they meet the criteria below. The Petition form may be obtained at the reception desk of 715 Broadway 5th floor, and must be submitted no later than April 16.
BA Students

The Colloquium must be completed by September 24, 2010 for a September 2010 graduation, and the Colloquium must be scheduled before petitioning to participate in May graduation events.
- Step 3: Apply to graduate in September 2010 by accessing Albert.
- Step 4: Submit a Petition to participate in the NYU Commencement and Gallatin Graduation ceremonies in May.
