Taking Classes in Other NYU Schools

The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS)

Notes, Advice and Tips About SCPS

Gallatin students are permitted to take courses in all undergraduate SCPS programs EXCEPT:

  • General Studies
  • Associate in Arts
  • Adult Transition

Gallatin students are NOT permitted to enroll in any SCPS that begins with the letter “X” or the letter “Z.”

All SCPS courses in which you are eligible to enroll require special registration permission from the SCPS program offering the course. For a list of SCPS programs and their telephone numbers, see your NYU Directory of Classes. SCPS requires that students furnish Gallatin letterhead permission to take their courses. You can secure this permission from an Auxiliary Adviser, once your faculty adviser has okay'ed your course choice.
