We are delighted to announce that we are launching the “Forums” feature of the Faculty Resource Network website (www.nyu.edu/frn). Through this new feature, you will be able to renew your ties and continue the conversation with fellow participants in the Network Summer 2008 seminar you participated in during June, 2008.
Upon receipt of this invitation, you should setup a Free Google Groups account.
Already provided us with your Gmail account information?
If you have already provided us your Gmail email address, you should follow the steps below:
- Click on the link https://www.google.com/accounts/login.
- Please login using your Gmail account username and password.
- You will now be able to view the seminar forum under the “My Groups” section of your page.
Need to obtain a Gmail address or apply for group membership?
In order to gain access into the seminar forum, you must first complete the steps below:
- Click on the link Network Summer forum group link you would like to join from our website at http://www.nyu.edu/frn/forums/.
- On the right hand side, please click on the “Apply for Group Membership” link.
- You will now be redirected to a login page. If you currently have a Free Google Account, please insert your email address and password. If you do not have an account, please click on the Create an Account Now link, which is located below the login boxes.
- You will now be asked a number of questions such as: your email address, desired password, desired nickname etc.
- Please complete all required fields and click on the gray “I accept. Create my account” button.
- Upon completed the above steps, you will receive an email verifying your account. Please click on the email link in order to activate your Google account.
- Please remember to write down your account name and password.
When you have completed the registration process, you may begin posting and viewing messages on the site. You will now be able to access the seminar forum by going to https://www.google.com/accounts/login and logging into the Google Groups. You will be able to view the seminar forum under the “My Groups” section of your page.
