The redesign has provided an opportunity to reevaluate and implement changes to the site structure and navigation of NYU.edu. Major changes emerging from these efforts include:
More Prominent Navigation
When a site visitor hovers their mouse over the header on all NYU.edu pages, a dropdown menu will appear and display an overview of the section, a list of pages nested below that section, and a secondary list of important related links. On smaller screens, the navigation can be displayed by pressing the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
The subnavigation now gives you a better picture of what is around you. Previously a secondary gray-paneled menu on the top of the page, the subnavigation has been moved to the left side of the main body content. Site visitors can see the pages nearby and the pages below their current location, making it easier to find the content you're looking for.
See All of NYU with Global Navigation
An "All NYU" button will now be located in the top right corner of all pages. Clicking this button brings up the global navigation menu, which contains links to NYU Home, NYU school websites, and all of the websites for NYU's global locations.
