Refresh your browser: the new is here. NYU's website now has a refreshed look and a new mobile-friendly design.

Say goodbye to pinch-to-zoom and hello to a responsive design fit for all your devices. We've updated with you in mind, with updated landing pages that allow students, faculty, employees, and alumni to more easily find relevant information.

You won't have to do anything differently to access the site. Just use as you usually would, and check out all of the new features, previewed below:

Mobile-Friendly Design

The site adapts its layout so that it's easy to use at any screen size. Paragraphs and images reflow and resize so that every device gets to see the same content optimized for the size of its display. A smaller screen sizes, a menu icon displays the more detailed site navigation.

A New, Interactive Homepage

A newly designed homepage will provide a better sense of NYU's identity—its dynamism, ambition, and global nature—and offer more paths for exploration. Visitors will be able to quickly connect to pages about admissions, financial aid, and educational opportunities.

The bottom half of the homepage features an interactive stream of curated and automatically generated content. Visitors will explore the vibrancy and global nature of NYU through news stories, events, and social media posts. At the bottom of the page, a list of regularly updated top links will also help our viewers dive into the pool of information available on

Reimagined Role-based and Topical Pages

Get to the nitty-gritty through dashboards that offer the info you need most. Student, Faculty, Alumni, Employee, and Community pages provide site visitors from each role with information that caters to their needs.

Topical pages channel pages (About NYU, Admissions, Academics, University Life, and Research) now better tell the NYU story by highlighting details and featuring stand-out snippets that reinforce the University’s identity and the people and activities that live here.

Navigate deep into the site or across the global campus at a click—or tap. A dropdown menu on the desktop version of the site allows visitors to see more deeply into the site structure. On smaller screens, the same level of detail is available in a side menu.
