FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the basic application form for most student aid programs. FAFSA on the Web permits you to review the status of your submitted application and make changes if necessary.

(Click here for additional important information about the student aid process at NYU.)

The current FAFSA is available beginning January 1. It is never too late to apply for financial aid, but you must meet the appropriate NYU deadline for priority consideration. Be sure to specify New York University in the school section of the FAFSA: the federal school code number for NYU is 002785.

YOUR PIN:

Students and parents of dependent students may use a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to sign the FAFSA electronically and avoid the need to print and mail a signature page. The PIN can be used each year to apply for federal student aid and to review your record online at the U.S. Department of Education.

Get your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.
