RECYCLING WASTE ITEMS

Mixed Paper: White
and colored paper, newspapers, magazines, cardboard, etc.
No tissues or paper contaminated with food. |

Cans and Bottles: Aluminum/steel cans, glass/plastic bottles and milk jugs. No window glass, broken mirrors or ceramics. |
| > | Bulk: Furniture and other
large items made of metal, glass or wood. |
| > |
Techno Scrap: Cables, disks, diskettes, CDs, small and large ink cartridges, cell phones, video tapes, and jewel cases. |

Computers: Computer monitors and other components collected by NYU Environmental
Services. Call Building Manager for pick-ups. |

Batteries: All rechargeable and disposable standard batteries including batteries from cell phones, laptops and cordless phones. |
| > | Air Conditioners and Refrigerators: All units must undergo CFC evacuation, done by the NYU AC Shop, prior to disposal. Call Building Manager for service. |
| > | Fluorescent Tubes: Call Building Manager
for collection and disposal by NYU Environmental Services. |
| > | Fluorescent Ballasts (PCB, Non-electronic):
Call Building Manager for collection and disposal by NYU Environmental Services. |
| > | Oil Paint, Solvents,
Pesticides, Rags: Call Building Manager for collection
and disposal by NYU Environmental Services. |
| > | Laboratory Glass: Inspected by an environmental contractor, bulk disposal. |
