Graph 4 & Graph 5

Consumer X Electricity Consumption (As of Month X) & Consumer X Year-to-Date Electricity Consumption (As of Month X):

2007
July         August

The top graph shows, for an individual consumer, the electricity consumption in the previous month in the current fiscal year, as well as the consumption in the same month for the prior two fiscal years. The bottom graph shows, for an individual consumer, the amount of electricity that has been consumed from the start of the fiscal year through the month listed.

These graphs should be used by those interested in the details of a particular building. This graph should be viewed in conjunction with the Consumer X YTD Electricity Consumption to see if the previous month followed the same pattern of consumption compared with prior years, as the pattern of consumption of the entire year compared with prior years, year-to-date consumption, or if the current month was more of an anomaly.

Example: If July 2007 consumption was much lower than July 2006 consumption, it cannot be concluded that less electricity is being consumed overall. It might be that overall year-to-date 2007 consumption is higher than 2006 consumption.
