Students are encouraged to get completed applications materials in on or before the March 15th deadline, since the visa process for Russia requires a significant lead time. No applications can be considered after this date.

Specialized Reporting: Russia

Students report, together with Russian counterparts, on political, economic, and social issues in southern Russia. The course also includes an introduction to these issues, through seminars and trips, and an analysis of journalism in the area. Assignments may be completed in print, broadcast, or Web format. The ability to speak and read Russian is not a requirement for this course, as interpreters are provided.
Students may choose to focus on print or broadcast journalism.
