"After the greatest research project of my life, I can honestly say that I am more convinced than ever before of the pre-Tribulation Rapture." Tim LaHaye

Left Behind, the fiction series co-authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, is the all-time best-selling Christian fiction series. There are twelve titles in the series - Left Behind, Tribulation Force, Nicolae, Soul Harvest, Apollyon, Assassins, The Indwelling, The Mark, Desecration, The Remnant, Armageddon, and book number 12, to be released in March, 2004, The Glorious Appearing. The first ten, with sales of more than 55 million copies, comprise the fastest-selling adult fiction series ever. Five of the Left Behind novels have reached the number one spot on the New York Times Bestseller list as well as those of USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly.

The immense popularity of Left Behind has enabled the originators to develop a parallel film series, cd-roms, graphic novels, Left Behind children's books and materials, teaching devotionals, two feature films and a recent military and political spin-off books series. There are also many websites that use the theory of premillennial dispensationalism to interpret current events today.

The Left Behind Series now includes Left Behind: The Kids Series for children ages 10-14 with more than 60 million sold as well as study guides, screen-savers, games, t-shirts, calendars, greeting cards, videos, and young adult books. Based on the Bible’s book of Revelation, the apocalyptic thrillers follow the lives of those left behind after the sudden disappearance of millions of believers.

Armageddon is the eleventh book in series and remained on the New York Times best-seller list for 15 weeks.
