Prophecy and the End-Times

Why do some conservative Christians believe that the end-times are imminent? How has the concept of dispensational premillennialism been popularized through novels, comics, films and music? How have these beliefs shaped conservative Christians attitudes towards Israel and foreign policy?

Prophesizing examines the history of end-times theology, and the ways in which conservative Christians are utilizing contemporary media forms such as apocalyptic films; the Left Behind book series, cd-roms, films and graphic novels to popularize end-times prophecy and shape US involvement in Israel and the Middle East.
