Return to Previous Page Ph.D. students may take advantage of an exchange between NYU and the Kleist Institute and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder (Berlin). The timing of the exchange is subject to approval by the student's Department and by the directors of the Advanced Certificiate. Students may take their MaCracken Fellowships abroad during a year in which they have no teaching responsibilities. Qualified students may also apply for stipends from the DForschungsgemeinschaft for a sixth year of funding.
