Scott Spencer is a Ph.D. Candidate in
Ethnomusicology at New York University, researching 21st Century
transmission practices in traditional Irish music. Having worked
various positions in music archives and Irish Studies departments, he
currently serves as Interim Associate Director of CUNY's Institute for
Irish-American Studies, as well as Coordinator of the Institute's
Center for Traditional Irish-American Music.
