The New York University Department of Music invites applications for an appointment as an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow.  The appointment will be for one year beginning September 1, 2010, renewable annually for a maximum of three years, pending administrative and budgetary approval. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. no earlier than five years before the date of appointment. The successful candidate will have research interests which complement those of the present faculty, and an active program of research and publication. We are particularly interested in candidates who also have strengths in theoretical issues in music.
