Our doctoral students
are fully funded by Henry Mitchell MacCracken Fellowships,
which provide a living stipend and full tuition for five
years: three years of course work followed by two years of full support as MacCracken teaching assistants.
The MacCracken can also be enhanced by a dean's supplement
reserved for historically underrepresented minority groups.
At the completion of
the MacCracken, several post-MacCracken fellowships, including
the Dean's Dissertation Fellowship, the Patricia Dunn Lehrman
Fellowship, the Torch Fellowship, and the Elaine Brody Fellowship
in the Humanities, are available on a competitive basis. For
an overview of Graduate Fellowships and Awards, see http://gsas.nyu.edu/page/grad.financialaid.gradfellowships
(also click "Financing Graduate Education" at the bottom of
that page for individual fellowship descriptions). Also, see the NYU Comp Lit "Fellowships and Awards"page.
