Child and Elder Care

  • For Faculty, Professional Administrative and
    Research Staff

    The pilot Child Care Scholarship, a new benefit introduced during the 2007-08 academic year, assists with the cost of child care services for preschool-aged children. Eligible applicants will have a household income under $125,000 and children under 5 years of age. Applications are generally accepted from September to October. All applications must be hand delivered or sent by the U.S. Mail.

  • Office and Technical Staff

    The Child Care Subsidy Fund is available to all staff covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local 3882. Applications for the annual award are accepted on-line from eligible employees from September to October.

  • Back-up Child and Adult Care

    Full-time faculty, administrators, and professional research staff may register for and access backup care in your own home when you need to be at work and your regular care arrangements are not available.

  • Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Programs

    There are tax deductions that you might want to consider when filing your income tax return each year. Speak with your accountant about the Child and Dependent Care Credit (PDF) and the Earned Income Credit (PDF) or call the IRS' 24-hour information line at 1-800-829-1040 to determine any special deductions for which you might be eligible.
