The following resources can help you begin your search for summer activities for your child. Below you can find:

Summer Camps and Programs at Colleges in New York State
On-line searchable database provides list of day and residential camps focusing on the arts (dance, media arts, music, theater, visual arts), academic areas (journalism, science, computer, math, among others), magic, and sports for students 8 to 18 years of age. Searches are possible by activity, college, or location.

Peterson's
The publisher of a variety of guides offers on-line searches of their database of 3,000 summer camps and academic and travel programs for K-12.

Brooklyn-based
A diverse listing for those seeking programs in Brooklyn; some programs provide bus transportation from NYC's other boroughs to Brooklyn.

Business/Entrepreneurship
Short-term programs designed for students who have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong interest in learning about business.

Language
Language programs in New York City for young children that range from brief classes to intense immersion programs.

NYU-Sponsored
Summer programs for teens offered through NYU include international programs and programs that award college credits. Programs focus on academics, the arts, and music.

Math, Science, and Technology
Summer activities and camps with a focus on science and/or technology. These camps involve hands-on learning in the sciences while incorporating some traditional camp activities.

Performing and Visual Arts
Programs in and around NYC for children and teens provide focused experiences in visual arts (drawing, photography, and sculpture) and theatre, music, and dance.

Sports
Summer sports programs offered in New York City provide options for children to choose camps that focus on one specific sport or participate in a camp that teaches skills for a range of different sports.
