Update your home address and phone number with NYU, particularly if you move out of your health plan’s coverage area as relocation may affect status. Additionally, if you hold accounts with TIAA-CREF, Vanguard, or the NYU Staff Pension Plan (JPMorgan Retirement Plan Services), you should also contact those providers directly using the contact information at the bottom of the column to the left.

To add a spouse or new dependent, notify the NYU Benefits Office within 31 days of the marriage or birth. In case of divorce or the end of a domestic partnership, notify the NYU Benefits Office within 31 days of your divorce or file a Domestic Partnership Termination form; you must notify the University so that former eligible dependents will have the right to continue benefit coverage for themselves under the federal COBRA law. Upon the death of a spouse or registered domestic partner, notify the NYU Benefits Office to update your medical insurance coverage. Additionally, please consider directing your own beneficiary or executor of your estate to notify the University in the event of your passing as soon as possible; an NYU Benefits Specialist will assist them in filing a life insurance benefits claim if you participated in this plan.
