As an employer, New York University is proud of the opportunities and advantages it offers to its employees. NYU has a long-standing commitment to provide high-quality employee benefits and programs that meet the needs of our diverse community. Many of those advantages are found in the NYU benefits programs and online resources and tools.

Full-Time Faculty

New York University has a long-standing commitment to provide high-quality employee benefits and programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.  For full-time faculty, medical coverage begins the date you are hired at NYU.  Full-time faculty may choose from two plans of coverage: a health maintenance organization (HMO) or a point-of-service (POS) plan.  They may also enroll in the NYU Dental Plan, and have access to the NYU Retirement Plan, disability and life insurance, the NYU Long-Term Care Insurance Plan, NYU’s LiveSmart Wellness Initiative, the Employee Assistance Program through Carebridge Life Resources, family care, mortgage programs and dependent coverage.  Full-time faculty members may also be eligible for tuition benefits for themselves and their dependents.  Click here for more information.

Adjunct Faculty and Retirees

NYU also offers group health insurance coverage to qualified adjunct faculty who have met the specified service requirements as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between New York University and the UAW.  To find out whether you meet these requirements and to find other benefits you qualify for as an adjunct employee, click here.  NYU retirees continue to be valued members of the University Community.  To find out about your options for medical coverage and other benefits as a retiree, click here.
