Rentals

NYU owns and manages a portfolio of 2,100 apartments in large and mid-sized buildings in the Washington Square neighborhood. Approximately 1,700 of the apartments are rented to University affiliates, while the remaining units are occupied by rent-regulated tenants. Most faculty members reside in either Silver Towers or Washington Square Village, two large residential complexes located southeast of Washington Square Park. The University is adapting its rental stock to meet the growing residential needs of faculty members by combining existing smaller units into apartments suitable for families.
