1. What is Riverwalk Landing?

Riverwalk is a new community located on a part of Roosevelt Island previously known as "Southtown Area." Riverwalk is being developed through the efforts of several city and state agencies, a public benefit corporation, a private developer and others who are committed to constructing residential housing, commercial space and public facilities on Roosevelt Island. It is anticipated that when complete, the Riverwalk development will consist of 9 separate buildings, which will include approximately 2000 residential housing units and commercial space. The Riverwalk LLC website sponsored by the building's developer contains further information.

To date, three Riverwalk buildings have been completed. The fourth building, known as Riverwalk Landing, is near completion and will consist of 216 residential units and some commercial space. NYU is purchasing 58 condominium units at Riverwalk Landing and is offering them for sale to its Eligible Affiliates under its "Riverwalk Landing Purchase Program". The condominium offering plan for Riverwalk Landing ("Offering Plan") provides a more in depth description of Riverwalk Landing, financial and operational details about condominium ownership and information and disclosures required by law. It is essential that all Eligible Affiliates considering the purchase of a unit carefully review the condominium Offering Plan prior to entering into any binding agreement with respect to such unit. A copy of the Offering Plan is available from the Faculty Housing Office.
