NYU has a long tradition of bringing together a diverse, global community.  Consequently, students have a unique opportunity to truly engage with and learn from others who may be different in myriad ways, including gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, race or ethnicity.

This website, Inter-Group Dialogues and Other Conversations, is a general guide to a number of programs offered at the University where you can participate in conversations to deepen your understanding of this exciting, diverse and global society. These dialogues encourage real and safe conversations. The exploration of these similarities and differences between people leads to insights that will serve you throughout your life.

Do you want to take it to the next level and lead dialogues or bring a program to your community? The Center for Multicultural Education and Programs offers training to graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and staff to prepare facilitators for inter-group dialogues. You will go through an extensive, hands-on process where you incorporate your own knowledge, while learning the pedagogy, curriculum and supporting research to conduct and assess these important conversations around diversity.
