Rich Text

The Rich Text component is one of the most frequently used components. It allows CMS Authors to create, edit, and delete basic text with additional rich text features such as links, subheadings, and bulleted lists.

When to use it?

The text component is the primary tool to input text into your pages. You should use it whenever you have text of any kind that you wish to put in.

Where to use it?

The text component can go in any column container in any position on the CMS driven page. Be sure to keep your text specific to the page topic and mix it with images and other content.

Rich Text Known Bugs

Nested Lists

Issue

When an ordered list (using numbers to enumerate the list items, e.g. "1., 2., 3.") is nested inside an unordered list (using simple bullet points or other characters to define list items)—or vice versa (nesting an unordered list inside an ordered list), the nested list items are incorrectly formatted and don't nest properly.

Note: This occurs when the author switches a list's formatting style before indenting.

Workaround

Indent the text then switch list formatting styles.
