Camp $tart-Up and Summer $tock sponsored by Independent Means Inc. (IMI) offers teenage girls (age 14-18) one week summer residential programs on campuses across the country where participants learn about the world of business, financial planning, investment and entrepreneurship. IMI also sponsors a Business Plan competition.
Curious Jane is a summer academic enrichment camp science and design camp for girls in 3rd -6th grade. Students choose from among three themes each week. The program is offered at the Poly Prep Day School campus in Brooklyn, The Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn and the Marymount Middle School campus in Manhattan. Curious Jane Jr. is a summer-camp designed specifically for girls in K-2nd grade.
The EDGE Summer Workshop is an engineering program for talented high school girls. The camp is located at Union College in Schenectady New York. Girls learn about engineering from Union College faculty and spend time with female engineers as they work to create solutions to practical problems.
Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program, an 8-week program for 20 high school juniors, is an innovative approach to computer science. The program offers hands-on experience in a technology company or university setting from 9 a.m-5 p.m. daily. Intensive, daily classroom instruction in robotics, web design, and mobile development is paired with talks, demonstrations and workshops led by female entrepreneurs, CEOs, devleopers, designers, and computer science majors that serve as mentors and role models throughout the program.
Fashion Camp NYC is a program for girls entering 8th-12th grade which introduces participants to the world of fashion through classes with industry professionals, projects, and trips to stores and showrooms around New York City.
The Summer Lady is an overnight camp that focuses on enhancing a girl’s self-esteem, building self-confidence and providing a fun, memorable experience for girls ages 6-16. Girls have the opportunity to learn skills in horseback riding, studio and performing arts, cheerleading, gymnastics, tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, track, hockey, swimming, sailing, kayaking, water skiing, lifesaving, camping skills, hiking, nature and much more. Sessions are available from 2 weeks to a full 7 or 8 weeks.
Willie Mae Rock Camp is a day camp for girls ages 8-18 who want to learn how to play instruments, write music, and perform rock music.
