American Museum of Natural History offers a variety of programs for different age groups, ranging from K to 7th grade. Holiday programs focus on topics such as astrophysics, human body, and wildlife. Students 6 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Asphalt Green offers year-round programs for children who enjoy swimming, playing sports, and other recreational activities. The Mini Camps provide recreational activities during both the public and private school holiday vacation weeks for children ages 4-12 years.

Center for Architecture Foundation offers three-day studio programs for students ranging from 3rd to 12th grade. Through field trips, students study the structure and design of buildings, learn how to create 3-D architectural models, and create an individual design. A limited number of scholarships are available to NYU faculty and staff children. Contact NYU Family Care for more information.

Chelsea Piers-Field House provides kids from 5-12 years old with an opportunity to attend the Holiday Multi-Sports Camp. Registered campers participate in soccer, basketball, baseball and other sports. A Holiday Gymnastics Camp centered on gymnastics is also available.

Children's Museum of Art has an extensive list of holiday break programs for public and private school vacation weeks. Offered through their Art Colony program, students ages 6-12 years will build skills and explore various techniques as they experience and participate in hands-on art projects.

Downtown United Soccer Club (DUSC) offer for School Break Sessions full and half days during mid-winter recess and spring break. Kids ages 5-12 will participate in drills and mini soccer games to hone their skills during the holiday break. Campers may register by the day or week.

Guggenheim Museum's Education Department provides an art rich experience for public school students aged 8-11 years with their MidWinter and Spring Break School Vacation Camps. Participating students explore the galleries and participate in studio art workshops.

Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum offers "School's Out, Ship's In" for kids ages 5-13 years during mid-winter break, and spring break. The full day (9-5) program provides hands-on activities and interactive exhibits for students to explore the sea, air and space.

Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center provides children from kindergarten through 5th grade with a full-day (8:30-5:30) of activities during the public school Mid-Winter and Spring vacation weeks. A variety of activities including sports, arts, music and dramatic experiences are held a PS 89 (201 Warren Street at West Street). Flexible scheduling is available for 1 to 5 days.

McBurney YMCA's offers traditional camp activities for children including arts and crafts, sports, swimming, activities and trips. The Vacation Fun Camps take place from 9AM-5PM, with extended hours available. The camp runs during the NYC public school Winter and Spring vacation weeks.

NYC Elite offers half day programs for children 3-4 years, as well as a full day camp for children 5-12 years in during public school Mid-Winter and both public and private school Spring vacation weeks. The holiday program includes coaching on gymnastics, trampoline play, dance, tennis, and arts and crafts.

Robo Fun holiday break camps are offered during the public and private school vacation weeks. Each week offers two programs where children work on a game design and/or robotics project using LEGO mini computers, motors and sensors.

Science Teacher Sarah's Science Adventure Camp offers experience and exposure to a diverse set of science topics. Registration options include the full week and single days. Early bird discounts are available.

Super Soccer Stars offers "mini-camps" during private and public school breaks for children 2.5-3 years and 4-5 years. The Mini Camps are offered at three Manhattan locations - Greenwich Village (PS41), Upper West Side (TBD), Upper East Side (PS183) - and one in Brooklyn (PS321). Soccer activities take place from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

TADA! Youth Theater offers theater classes to children in grades 1-8 during each of the public and private school vacation weeks.

Y Holiday Camps throughout NYC's five boroughs offers traditional programming during public school holiday vacation weeks to students enrolled in K through 6th grade. Some activities include field trips, swim time and gym games.
