About Carebridge

How Carebridge Works

Your benefit provides up to four face-to-face or telephonic EAP consultations per issue with a professional behavioral health clinician skilled in your area of concern. The program is available to benefits eligible employees of NYU as well as their spouses, domestic partners, and children. You or a family member can call Carebridge Life Resources toll-free at 1-800-437-0911, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Skilled professional counselors answer every call and are available to...

  • Listen to your concerns
  • Help identify the source of the problem
  • Work with you to bring about solutions through short-term counseling, and if necessary,
  • Help with a referral for continued or specialized care. Counselors will find providers who participate in your medical plan's provider network if continued specialized care is needed.

Cost of Coverage

The Carebridge Life Resources program is provided by New York University at no cost to you. However, sometimes longer term counseling is needed, in which case, Carebridge will help you find a provider who participates in your health plan's network. Your plan's coverage provisions and out of pocket costs will then apply.
