Leadership Programs

To foster leadership development across the University, the Office of Talent, Learning, and Organizational Development plans, designs, and conducts a variety of innovative NYU workshops and programs for administrative managers.


Workshops on topics of importance to leaders – including change management, coaching, interviewing for exceptional hires, handling difficult conversations, and situational leadership – are available in both classroom and online formats. The professional development course listing is communicated monthly to employees. Registration for all workshops is on NYUiLearn. Leadership development workshop course numbers have the prefix LDR.

to Supervision

The Transitioning to Supervision program is designed to help employees who are supervising others for the first time and features an action plan for the first 180 days on the job.

Critical Skills for
Emerging Leaders

The Critical Skills for Emerging Leaders certificate program focuses on the fundamentals of employees successfully leading at NYU and offers both online and classroom-based courses.


The Building Leadership Excellence program for mid-level leaders instills insights, knowledge, and skills managers need to succeed in current and future leadership roles at NYU.
